Das Programm
The program
The musical program itself stands for peace, freedom and democracy.

Ludwig van Beethoven's 9th Symphony (4th movement) is the anthem of the European Union and the Council of Europe. Since its premiere 200 years ago, it has stood for freedom and fraternity and is today more than ever a symbol of our European community of values, based on democracy, the rule of law and respect for human rights.

Arnold Schönberg's poignant composition “A Survivor from Warsaw” recalls the inhuman Holocaust and is also a musical reminder that anti-Semitism in any form must no longer have a place in Germany, Europe and the world.

Lukas Geppert, a young composer of film music, wrote the work “Dreamzoned”, which will be performed at the end of the concert. Geppert, who works in Hollywood among other places, interweaves intercultural musical motifs in his composition and thus builds emotional bridges.

Under the direction of Youngkwang Jeon, a renowned young conductor from South Korea, the Klassische Philharmonie Bonn, musicians from the Transcarpathian Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra Uzhgorod (Ukraine) as well as vocal soloists and seven choirs unite to form an impressive ensemble.
